Theology and a Pint, 7.25.06
The Millennium Development GoalsThese goals established by the United Nations include a call for the eradication of extreme poverty. They have been championed by Bono, the ONE Movement and many many others. Recently, the Episcopal Church made them the number 1 mission priority for the next three years. So why should we care about the MDGs or eradicating extreme poverty? What does theology and the Bible say about poverty and our responsibility regarding the poor?
When: Tuesday, July 25th, 8:00pm Where: Kip's Irish Pub (Just West of 394 & Hwy 169), 9970 Wayzata Blvd, St. Louis Park (www.kipspub.com)

Reaching Out
You never know when an opportunity for spiritual growth will occur
or where it will come from. It might happen during an encounter
at the water cooler, a sales call, on the plant floor or in the
board room. I might happen while you're walking around the lake
or taking a bike ride. Or, maybe you'll find a moment of grace while
serving food to the homeless or pounding a nail for Habitat for
Humanity. At St. George's, we have discussion groups and classes
to help you understand those opportunities, opportunities to give
back to the community, and fun recreational events. To find out
